Trying to use Zero Effort's MMD models, but they load with no textures

I've tried to use Zero Effort MMD's Untitled-Chan model but every time I Load it up it has no textures, I think I've figured out what the problem is but I'm not sure how to solve it. It seems to me that my PC is renaming the folders into something different from what PMXEditor and MMD is trying to pull from when loading the file so it can't laod the textures. I'm not exactly sure how to fix this because I can't read japanese, anyone got some advice for me?

some models for the MMD made by Japanese people are encoded with their characters in Japanese and surely you have your pc configured for western characters and when you unzip the RAR or ZIP with the model it decompresses badly.

So what you have to do is configure your pc so that it reads the Japanese characters well. That's in "regional and language settings" there you go to "administrative" and then you select in the part of "language for non-unicode programs" and select Japanese.

with that I should solve your problem.

Or, the difficult option is to open your model in the PMX-Editor and rename each and every one of the materials with the name of the texture that corresponds to it.

If you work only with a phone, forget everything I said, delete the model and go on with your life | • '-' •) و✧

I Hope I've been helpful.

If you use WINRAR to decompress your files with Japanese characters and if the author of the file did not configure it correctly, it will not read the Japanese characters correctly and there will be strange symbols instead.

the solution is simple:
Open your file with winrar and before unzipping it, use the CONTROL + E keys and a window appears and select option 932, so the program will recognize the Japanese characters correctly and after that you can unzip the file without any problem.

Or you could just get Bandizip.

My solution is to use Bandizip. It's free and it can translate all the Moon Rune guff into Japanese characters, something that's not only handy but also something I wish 7Zip could do...
