can anyone help me how can i create the metallic effect on the swimsuit in this video?
using standard raycast materials don't work like this one.
I changed my mind. After some meme testing, it appears to be a custom texture with a metallic mat. edit: I made a quick one using a palette swapped version of the base texture for that bikini, and by renaming some things in a copy of the smooth metallic material. Editedit: It takes a bit of parameter fiddling to get it to look particularly nice, but it's very doable.
so the texture have to be changed to get that effect?
In the Ray-MMD folder find the ray.conf file and open it in a text editor (I use the free Notepad++). Scroll down until you find // Screen Space Reflection and make sure it is not set to 0. I have mine set to 2 (64 samples). If it slows your computer down change it to 1. Save your change in the .conf file. Now whenever you use a radiant skydome, the skydome will reflect on any surface that reflects light. It will not work with regular skydomes however.
I didn't know you could do that. The way I did it just produced a cheap foil effect, not an actual reflection.
Yeah, if you turn on the screen space reflections, all objects that reflect light will have reflections in them. Not just her bikini.
If the model has spheremaps, and you want Raycast Shader to show them you can do this
I think using the metallic materials looks better however.
thanks guys, i'll try it! :)
