I will say the ture problem isn't on the Iwara.
Not just porn mmd, the whole mmd community is become more like CGI animation community, the dance only type mmd isn't good enough at all for today's viewers, it need more detail to make viewers satisfied, unfortunately, the sex scenes is most easy way to absorb viewers.
What do you guys mean by "CGI"?
Also if you want my opinion the problem is why it has been allowed to post CGI (and with cgi i mean non-mmd content) in a nonCGI site.
Try to tell ppl to not post Honey select content and you'll probably end to get stoned
@Durandel - what is the diff between Ecchi and Hentai? I thought the were very similar.. maybe Ecchi is softcore?
Rule34 has some content that is posted here, although it doesn't focus on MMDs. A lot of Pixiv artists upload there. Iwara seems to be mainly for creators.. at rule34 nobody shares models or keyframing. I support the idea of discussing other things, and I would upload some compilations- which are like mix tapes, but I would worry about offending the original uploaders. Also, my compilations mix MTV style music videos, real-world porn (JAV, American, and Russian) with pop idol videos and MMDs/lewd Blender creations. They sort of push the limits in terms of what might be legal, depending on the country in question. (Some guy in the USA got 20 years in prison for watching Hentai in the early 2000s, for instance.) The real-life stuff isn't Kosher on Iwara, anyways, right? I don't know of a place to safely upload them. :( My lewd arts are for an audience of 1.
I am from the USA so my cultural definitions may not apply to every. And I know Ecchi and Hentai share a common root with Ecchi being the Japanese transliteration of the letter H.
But here are my definitions:
Ecchi: Lewd generally softcore content. Generally includes teasing and doesn't go straight for sex. An X-Factor of sorts is Ecchi rarely includes themes of rape or other forced situations.
Hentai: Generally hardcore. In my opinion lacks subtlety and finesse as it seems to take nudity and sex as arousing on their own without build up or context.
They are related, but hentai strikes me as undisciplined and over all unappealing, while the constraints of Ecchi just suit my tastes more.
Its just how the market works. People like horny stuff not normal one and creators want more views.
Iwara started as the site trollvideo, and then hardcore hentai was not prominent at all. You were happy just to see Gumi naked!
There was a small discussion here last year about unpleasant videos (e.g. rape & insect shagging), so maybe the grosser porn content could be moved to a new server hentai.iwara.tv so that the ecchi.iwara.tv remain with only softcore and genuine mmd?
I was here back in the trollvideo days, and before that I was following MMD creators on vimeo before there was a massive purge of erotic content. I'm sure some of my favorite videos from those early days are lost as the creators never re-uploaded them to iwara and/or have become inactive or wildly changed their style in my opinion.
And I agree with you on the hentai.iwara.tv/ecchi.iwara.tv idea. I'm am not trying to ban the hentai content or get rid of it. Just an easier filter to find the types of videos I like without having to risk seeing more extreme content. I suppose another factor that makes it difficult is the fact I don't read Japanese, yet, and the iwara language settings don't translate video titles so many times my only judgement for checking out a video is the thumbnail and maybe a couple English tags in brackets.
you give him way to much credit i can not recall xyz rankings being helpfull or relevant at any point in time, stop making up things that dont exsist D; he just made alot of fuzz whitout actually delivering anything underrated, hidden or really anything beyoung the first page of the most liked videos, in fact he never helped any creator on iwara to gain more attention.. also its not "him" its "them" a selfproclaimed wanna be elite that failed. and the reason why they faild being because they are trying to push their own creators instead of doing a fair judgement, but their own people suck at making videos lol.
In my case its fair to say i have seen it all and its getting boring, dont feel like this place can keep me entertained any longer. But not because im such a demanding person. the creativity levels have hit rock bottom and we have gone so far off the roots that the new stuff is barely recognizeable as MMD anymore. Is it still okay to say that i dont like chinese music or that i prefere japanese anime culture? lately all of this is getting unfamiliar and weird. thats not what im looking for D;
