Video search seems to be completely useless

Here's something you might want to search for on the ecchi side of Iwara: 罰ゲーム. This search, as of today on my browser (Firefox 56, Windows 10) returns one result: this video by Tray Mendis. Not appearing in the search results for 罰ゲーム despite having it in the video title is this video by jugem1234, one of the most-viewed videos on the site.

Here's something else you might want to search for: 紳士ハンド. This search returns many results, but I still managed to find an omission: this video by foos, one of only two they ever uploaded (the other does appear in the search results).

What's up with that?

From what I understand, the site doesn't index all words in a title or description, just what it finds inside these weird brackets:【】. In jugem's video, the text was there but not within those brackets, so the site didn't bother linking that keyword to the video within the search engine.

Your third video does have "紳士ハンド" in the brackets, but I think the problem there is that it's part of a longer string. If you search for "紳士ハンドと玩具色々" instead, then it will indeed show up. Also if you search for "紳士枠" which is also within brackets in the title of that video, it will show up. My guess is that the site seems to be unable to break apart substrings within strings of continuous Japanese characters. See, typically, search engines look for characters like whitespace, punctuation, quotation, grouping, etc. when breaking up keywords, but in Japanese, there are no whitespace characters normally, so it would need to have a very good understanding of Japanese grammar to accurately pick out where one word stops and another begins.

emmm......Well I think the major issue regarding searching is that THE TAGS ARE USELESS. Not that the tags themselves are useless, but most videos are not tagged at all. Most authors seem to have forgotten this function (really no offense). You just cannot search by tag. Well authors could be fine and the site can learn from other sites in having the admins taggging the videos or encourage the viewers to tag themselves.

Google indexes the site, you can search like:
kantai OR touhou site:iwara.tv/videos
