Old model restoration

dug this in kakomis old website [blog?]

The mmd version is censored, but the mqo has her full body.
i tried fidling in blender, but i cant think of a way to attach the naked body mesh to the pmd bones.
so im uploading her here if anyone wants to give a shot.

never dealt with .mqo before, but this is what I get when I import to blender:

very low poly model. any way around this?

unless you want a low poly model. i dont mind

im fine with keeping the original poly count, but im not sure why it looks like that for you.
i get this after importing.

First, I don't have much knowledge about metasequoia.
It seems that the mqo file has bone and bone weights but it's failed to import on blender.
Maybe that mqo model works on metasequoia and keynote plugin and metaseq+keynote model can be exported to PMD format.

im not well versed in metasequoia too, i recall it requiring a paid version to actualy export anything, so i gave up on that program.

what blender version do you have, and which import tool are you using?

p.s. it turns out it works with my version 2.69 and the issue that ive shown is apparent with my version 2.76

p.p.s. oh boy this is a lot of work

Here: took me about 2 hours including the posing for this stupid picture I felt the need to make.

alright found an older version.

i don't remember what fixes i did (if any) before i overwrote it.
also were there no physics with the original model?

here's the dl: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7rJrGzGm7GjVEVRMHR2UEMxNE0

im assuming you fixed the colors and the spa's, ill try fixing them later before uploading.
none that i know of.
cheers, did you simply convert the model, or did it require some rigging?

2017-01-14 19:42

had to rig it a bit, cuz the .mqo was slightly different than the pmd
